The new Internet Explorer 8 Beta version is causing the problem. It's an intrusion into my control of Yahoo when I send emails and has already caused embarrassment when I sent a new email with a previous address Explorer 8 put in the box that I did'nt notice.
Also how do I complain both to Microsoft and Yahoo!
Cheers guys.
Why is Internet Explorer 8 putting previous email addresses in the address bar when I compose a Yahoo email?
Yahoo! Cannot control/edit/change the email address that an auto-form-filler is placing in that bar. However, it is always important to make certain that you review your email message before you send it, as your email provider cannot be held responsible for what its servers are told to do by the information entered.
Typically, auto-form-fillers (which IE8 comes with, as does the new version of Yahoo if the emails are in your contact list) will use historical data to try to suggest the address you're attempting to put in, much like predictive text on a cell phone.
Ultimately, the best 'defense' would be to either turn off any form-filling add-ons in your browser, or simply review what is in your To: line whenever you send an email (which you should do, anyhow).
