Say it needs to be sent in the morning, but you don't want to have to wake up in the morning to send it, so can you write it, and then tell yahoo to send it at a particular time?

Nope, best you can do is save it in Drafts and wake up and send it. Of course, why not send it now unless your friend has an alarm on their computer to wake them up whenever they get an e-mail.
