I do not have the option to type a message when I select "Compose" an email. What could be wrong?

The page to compose an email comes up but there is no body text box to type a message in. I can receive and read emails but can not reply or compose any.

Your browser for some reason isn't allowing the editing tools to show up. To be able to send messages, you'll have to switch to plain text mode.

1) Click on Options in the upper right corner of your inbox.

2) Click on General Preferences.

3) Find the section called Composing Emails.

4) Select "Compose messages as plain text."

5) Click save in the upper or lower left corner.

If you need to use the advanced editing tool, though, and are using Internet Explorer, you might want to try updating to the latest version or possibly switching to the Mozilla Firefox browser.
