Should i compose email rich text or html or plain text??? confused...?

i am sending important emails... so i see this option in gmail and Outlook about Rich Text Format option whereas all also have HTML option for composing mail..





i am confused hich one do i use?? .. what is the difference??.. my recipients ae not yahoo or gmai users .. they have email ids on their sites of companies or institutes...

Should i compose email rich text or html or plain text??? confused...?
It's each individual's personal preference.





IF you want to be able to pick a different font--different size--change the colors--make it Bold or italic--underlined--spell check--etc. Then use Rich Text (html).





If you don't want any of those options, and are satisfied with just plain old everyday text with no options----then use Plain Text.
